Rough and Ready is the best Cafe in Deptford. The food is much better quality than any of the greasy spoons on Deptford High Street and has a really comfortable atmosphere as well as a community feel. Anyone who qualifies for free travel because they are retired can get free coffee or tea and there are loads of fascinating objects decorating the Cafe. Highly recommend.

I have just discovered this cafe. It is not trendy Deptford but it is very quirky and cool. I had a fantastic veggie fry up! The toast was crusty. The hash browns so crispy. It is chill in there. You can watch a bit of tv and loads of Metros were out. The owner is a nice lady with a sparkle in her eye! This is my cafe of choice now. It rocks! Support your local cafes and your fry ups. It is what we are good at and long may it continue. It's like a Parisian cafe in Deptford. Except you don't have to eat crossiants. Get the full monty and fill that belly up!

I walked from Tower Bridge heading to North Greenwich. I came across this lovely place while I was wandering. A delightful breakfast in a lovely atmosphere. Lots of memorabilia. I really loved the feel of the place. I'm Australian and love exploring. I would go back of I was in the area again.

Lovely local café. Calm atmosphere and location. Visit Sayes Court park for some history very nearby, then head off down to the river. Could spend a long while looking at the memorabilia and antiques decorating this place. Cappuccino was good and soft fresh bread for sandwiches.
